Will you tell me the Christmas Story?

Grace: Mommy, will you tell me a Jesus Christmas story but not about any Santas in it?


Me: Um, okay. 


Grace's interruptions during the non-Santa Jesus Christmas story: 
Oh I like that word Bethlehem! Did Mary tell Jesus to sit down in that manger? Was he crying like a drummer boy? Did Mary give him a paci? Did the shepherd told his sheep to be quiet and look at that star?

My argumentative bumblebee

Today Grace wanted to dress up in her bumblebee costume from her first Halloween. When I told her she was a pretty bee she said, "Actually, I'm a fabulous butterfly." Where does she come up with these things?

Grace's birthday

I love starting traditions with my little family! Unfortunately for the girls, this one isn't super cool but we love it anyway! On the day of Grace's birthday we take her to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and then to Science Spectrum. Not entirely fantastic, but we have done it for three years and plan to do it with Audrey too. The thing Grace remembers most about this year is that she ate cake for breakfast and her Strawberry Shortcake balloon floated away. She was crushed and now every time we pass Cracker Barrel she says, "Oh no, mama, there went my strawberry balloon!"

Like father, like daughter

Grace steals the camera and blinds Audrey

Grace loves to take the camera and go exploring in the house. This last batch was particularly fun to go through, especially the ones of Audrey. 

If this child is blind, I will point back to this night and say, "Letting Grace have the camera was a mistake!" Poor baby! It didn't seem like that many pictures until I went through the camera later!

The next two have to be my favorite. Notice Grace's hand pulling Audrey's head up so she gets the best angle...

And this one, well, it's just pure awesomeness.
